Job summary

LendingTree is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Seattle, WA to build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines, design dimensional models, and deliver reliable data services for reporting, analytics, and data science across lending and insurance.

You will own the reliability and efficiency of data solutions, automate quality checks, monitor data freshness, and contribute to on-call incident response. Collaboration with analytics, data science, product, and operations is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, including data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, and analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills for writing, tuning, and debugging complex queries.
• Experience designing data lakes and warehouses on scalable platforms with batch and streaming integration.
• Strong dimensional modeling skills and data warehousing practices.
• Ability to deliver projects with minimal guidance in an Agile team.
• Clear written, verbal, and data presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate scalable batch and real-time pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows across multiple lines of business.
• Design dimensional models and reusable datasets for analytics and data science.
• Own reliability and efficiency by automating quality checks, monitoring freshness, and on-call participation.
• Create reusable frameworks with automated testing, code reviews, and repeatable deployments.
• Partner with business users and engineering to clarify requirements and roadmap.
• Apply AI tools in development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
