Job summary

UPS is seeking a data engineering professional to supervise and contribute to batch and real-time data pipelines, enabling data science and ML initiatives. You will integrate data from diverse sources, perform ETL processes, and help create reusable data assets through robust lifecycle management.

You will work with Python/Java/Scala/C++ in a cloud environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help implement data APIs for researchers and BI teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Experience with data integration from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle from collection to storage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support data engineering projects and builds solutions.
• Develop and deliver data engineering documentation.
• Gather requirements and perform data integration.
• Recommend analytic tools and support adoption of new tech.
• Perform ETL, data cleansing, and loading into BI platforms.
• Build data APIs for data scientists and BI analysts.
• Code using Python/Java/Scala/C++.
