Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Data Python Software Engineer III in Chicago or Plano. You will join an agile team to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, storage and analytics solutions in a secure, scalable way.

You will work with Python, SQL, NoSQL and enterprise AI capabilities to empower data-driven decisions across business functions. Responsibilities include validating AI-assisted outputs, updating data models, and collaborating with Product Owner to translate needs into robust data

Qualifications

• Formal training in data engineering concepts with 3+ years of hands-on Python coding.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities with strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted outputs before use, escalating when uncertain.
• Advanced SQL skills (joins/aggregations) and working understanding of NoSQL databases.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and choosing appropriate data tools and patterns.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owner to analyze and interpret data and generate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate data pipeline/design analysis and documentation, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• Responsible for making configuration and customization changes to generate a product at business or customer requests and advising colleagues in requests.
• Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases.
• Frequently uses SQL and understands NoSQL databases and their niche in the marketplace.
• Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices to strengthen SDLC-quality routines for data pipelines, ensuring traceability and security alignment.
