Job summary

Azumo builds and operates production AI systems for organizations ranging from seed-stage startups to Meta. We are hiring a Data Engineer to own the layer everything else depends on: ingestion and transformation pipelines, storage and warehouse design, and the retrieval infrastructure that AI systems query.

The role is fully remote across Latin America, aligned to your client’s working day. Azumo has shipped production AI & Software since 2016, and on these engagements there is no analyst

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and shipping production software in complex environments.
• Experience as the sole engineer on client engagements.
• Direct client-facing experience, scoping work and pushing back when needed.
• End-to-end ownership of at least one production system including incidents.
• Daily use of AI-enabled coding tools in a repository context.
• Cloud deployment with containerization and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Own ingestion and transformation pipelines and storage design.
• Lead the client engagement as the technical owner.
• Deliver end-to-end data/AI components in production.
• Ensure reproducible delivery with gates, tests, and repository commits.
