Job summary

Meta is seeking a Data Engineer to shape data products across its family of applications (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Reality Labs, Threads). You will design scalable data architectures and build datasets that answer strategic questions for billions of users and hundreds of millions of business customers.

You will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver data-informed insights, own ETL pipelines, ensure data quality and governance, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 7+ years of data-oriented experience (data analyst/scientist/engineer).
• 7+ years of SQL/ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and own data architecture for large projects with cost-benefit tradeoffs.
• Improve logging data frameworks and triage data infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and data scientists to visualize insights.
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets in ownership areas.
• Ensure data security, privacy, quality, and governance governance processes.
