Analytical Mechanics Associates, Inc. (AMA) is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive end-to-end data platform development, analytics, and reporting in a hybrid Central Time Zone team.

You will shape dashboards, data pipelines, and governance while partnering with business leaders to translate needs into scalable solutions. The role emphasizes mentoring, design leadership, and collaboration across data environment and data presentation streams in an agile setting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical field including math, IT, engineering, accounting, or computational finance.
• 5+ years in business analytics or data engineering with hands-on experience in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or DOMO.
• Strong production experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory or equivalent cloud platform.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills for data pipelines and governance.
• Experience building data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines.
• Experience with data governance, lineage, quality monitoring, and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics product design for dashboards, visualizations, and semantic models.
• Develop production-grade reports and dashboards with stakeholder engagement and KPI validation.
• Build and maintain certified Power BI semantic models and executive dashboards.
• Design and implement data pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or Snowflake.
• Establish data governance frameworks and documentation across data assets.
• Mentor team members and guide two main work streams: data environment and data presentation.
