Netsmart Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, optimize, and lead complex data pipelines and integration strategies for advanced analytics and scalable enterprise data platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions, drive automation, and shape data governance across the organization. The role requires strong SQL and coding expertise in Python/Java/Scala, plus hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, Scala and expert-level SQL.
• Extensive experience with big data technologies (Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Kafka) and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data warehousing solutions.
• Deep understanding of data modeling techniques and enterprise-grade ETL tools.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex analytical problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize complex data pipelines using SQL, ETL tools, and integration technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions for analytics and data science initiatives.
• Lead process improvements including automation, data delivery optimization, and scalability-focused infrastructure redesign.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies to build comprehensive data integration strategies.
• Lead technical discovery processes, defining complex requirements and mapping detailed scenarios.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
