Job summary

Apple Inc. in New York seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Music Data Engineering team to build data pipelines powering Apple Music features.

You will design scalable Java/Scala services to model, ingest, compute and serve large datasets, collaborating across engineering, research, product and business teams. You will lead by example, deliver hands-on software, provide technical guidance, and communicate clearly with internal groups.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting highly scalable data systems and services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience with Spark, Kafka and Web Services.
• Designing Java-based micro-services using best practices and Spring.
• Knowledge of large-scale data processing (Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
• Experience building data pipelines with Kafka and multi-source ingestion.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Maven/Gradle, Git.
