Job summary

Apple is seeking a seasoned Engineering Program Manager to lead complex server-side initiatives for music services. You will partner with Stakeholders and Engineering teams to ship scalable recommendation systems while driving infrastructure improvements across the Apple Music platform.

You will translate technical work into executive updates, manage dependencies across Privacy, ML, platform, and client teams, and ensure delivery within tight release cycles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years work experience as an Engineering Program Manager.
• Proven track record in driving software development initiatives.
• Knowledge of big data processing, machine learning, and distributed systems.
• Ability to manage complex dependency chains across multiple engineering organizations.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects/programs through the software development lifecycle from planning to launch.
• Partner with stakeholders to create functional and technical requirements for recommendation systems and data infrastructure initiatives.
• Drive cross-org coordination across Privacy Engineering, ML, platform teams, client engineering, and service owners.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Product, QA, Legal, Finance, Privacy, Marketing, Operations across Apple to support personalization features and infrastructure.
• Translate technical work into clear executive updates and risk assessments.
• Flexible working with teams across US timezones.
• Help establish processes to improve how our products are built and executed.
