Job summary

Clearstead is seeking a Lead Data Engineer for Master Data Management to shape enterprise data governance and data platform strategy. You will build real-time and batch pipelines, APIs, and data integration layers, working across data governance, quality, and platform oversight.

You will co-own Databricks and Unity Catalog in production, lead governance initiatives, and partner with data scientists and business teams to meet modeling and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in data-related field and 8+ years in data engineering, data management, or MDM.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Databricks Workflows for real-time and batch ETL and API integrations.
• 3+ years leading data governance or master data management initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design real-time and batch data processing solutions for analytics and reporting.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and API integrations as data volumes grow.
• Build datasets meeting business and technical requirements and manage data integration layers.
• Establish and promote data engineering standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Apply security standards to protect enterprise data and code; ensure governance coverage.
