Job summary

Clearstead Advisors LLC is seeking a Lead Data Engineer, Master Data Management to shape enterprise data, build pipelines, and govern data assets. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, MDM, governance, and AI to ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility for analytics and reporting.

You will partner with data scientists and business teams to define standards, drive data quality, and implement scalable data solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years in data engineering, data management or MDM.
• Hands-on PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Databricks Workflows experience.
• 3+ years leading data governance or MDM initiatives.
• Experience establishing master records and data standards.
• Hands-on Databricks and Unity Catalog in production.
• Strong understanding of data quality, modeling, and access controls.
• Experience partnering with stakeholders to implement governance.
• Knowledge of data privacy, regulatory and security principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
