Job summary

Eventus WholeHealth seeks a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of its healthcare data platform. You will partner with stakeholders to build scalable data infrastructure and deliver analytics for operational, financial, and clinical decisions.

The role requires strong SQL, AWS, Snowflake, and Airflow experience, plus expertise in healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and HIPAA governance. Mentoring junior engineers is essential in a fast-growing setup.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, architecting, and implementing data warehouses.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and data services.
Proven experience designing, developing, and managing enterprise data pipelines within AWS environments.
Strong experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and management of data pipelines.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, design, development, and maintenance of a scalable healthcare data platform.
Deliver high-impact data solutions that generate actionable business and clinical insights.
Partner with business stakeholders to define project scope, milestones, and success criteria.
Architect, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using sources like FHIR APIs, HL7, CMS, HIEs, EHRs, payers, and lab systems.
Optimize data models, storage architecture, and query performance using AWS, Azure, and Snowflake.
Establish and maintain data governance standards, code standards, documentation, testing, and monitoring processes.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and PHI protections.
Mentor and develop junior data engineers.
