Apex Systems is seeking a senior data engineering lead to drive a team focused on data pipelines, architecture, and scalable analytics. You will ensure data quality, security, and governance across the data lifecycle while collaborating with product and engineering partners.

The role emphasizes building robust ETL workflows, leveraging GCP, and delivering repeatable data solutions for complex business needs. Strong communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer-driven data solutions and service delivery.
• GCP experience required for this position.
• Deep knowledge of SQL or NoSQL with multiple data stores.
• Extensive Python programming for ETL workflows and data solutions.
• Ability to generalize code with reusable design patterns.
• Experience with big data tools (Hadoop or Spark) and distributed processing.
• Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and star schemas.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience building and consuming web services.

Responsibilities

• Leads an engineering team to meet project deadlines and priorities.
• Supervises data engineering team members and activities.
• Ensures data quality, security, privacy, and integrity across the data lifecycle.
• Documents critical workflows and operational support aspects of the team.
• Develops deep understanding of data sources, granularity, availability, and limitations.
• Provides proactive technical oversight to architecture and development teams for scalable data solutions.
• Creates maintainable, scalable code to load and manipulate data in the data warehouse.
• Facilitates communication upward and across project teams and stakeholders.
