Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data assets using Google Cloud and BigQuery. You will partner with stakeholders, mentor teams, and drive end-to-end data solutions in a regulated financial services environment.

This role emphasizes governance, performance, and reliability while working on enterprise data platforms. On-site presence in Southlake, TX with a hybrid work approach is expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in CS/IT/engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years building ETL and database apps.
• 8+ years with Informatica PowerCenter or Talend.
• 3+ years with Informatica IICS.
• 3+ years with Control-M or similar.
• 3+ years with Google Cloud Platform incl. BigQuery.
• Strong SQL and relational DB knowledge.
• Experience with Python or Perl scripting.
• Familiarity with source control, CI/CD tools, and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define solutions and architecture.
• Evaluate tools, run PoCs, and advise on landscape.
• Collaborate with Informatica and Google to drive delivery.
• Plan, estimate, and coordinate technical activities.
• Mentor onshore and offshore engineers.
• Define standards for design, development, and testing.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security.
