Job summary

Novisto seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build the analytics data foundation, lakehouse, and curated datasets powering ESG analytics and AI products. You’ll own data architecture, ingestion, and platform reliability while partnering with tech leads and product managers.

You will design batches, CDC ingestion, and data contracts, mentor developers, and ensure scalable, cost-aware solutions with robust telemetry and security.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data or backend engineering, with 2+ years in a senior/lead capacity.
• Expert-level SQL and strong Python.
• Experience with cloud infra (Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
• Production lakehouse or cloud data warehouse experience (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Hands-on with dbt and orchestrators (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• Dimensional/analytical data modelling; batch and streaming ingestion.

Responsibilities

• Design lakehouse architecture and storage layout for analytics platform.
• Model curated semantic data layers and design ingestion pipelines.
• Build and operate robust ETL/ELT pipelines with clear ownership and backfill strategy.
• Implement data quality tooling and platform observability for reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs; mentor squads on best practices.
• Develop backend services/APIs exposing curated datasets with multi-tenant data isolation.
