Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 5+ years of production experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Experience with large‑scale cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, BigQuery).
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, Spark, and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, testing).
• Experience building observable pipelines with monitoring, lineage, and data quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Build batch, streaming, and event‑driven ingestion pipelines connecting source systems to the lakehouse.
• Develop transformation logic and orchestrated workflows for usable datasets.
• Design and optimize data assets to support analytics, reporting, and AI readiness.
• Instrument pipelines with validation, monitoring, and alerting to detect issues quickly.
• Tune pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Establish engineering standards and reference architectures to scale a lean team.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers through pairing and guidance.
