Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Data Engineer II to advance its Corporate Data Platform, a cloud-native data warehouse supporting enterprise reporting and self-serve analytics. You will design, implement, and optimize data pipelines across Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and related tools, while shaping platform architecture and governance.

This hybrid role is based in the U.S. with in-person collaboration encouraged Tue–Fri and remote options Mon.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering or modern data platforms
• Hands-on with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran and ELT architectures
• Experience with Elementary, Sigma, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infra or AI/ML data tooling is a plus
• Strong data modeling, SQL, testing, observability, performance optimization
• Experience with data governance, quality, auditability, or SOX environments

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical anchor for the Corporate Data Platform
• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and warehouse architecture across Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran
• Influence architecture decisions with stakeholders and ensure governed, AI-ready data infrastructure
• Develop clean, well-modeled datasets for enterprise reporting and self-service analytics
• Contribute to data governance, quality SLAs, and audit readiness
• Implement automated testing, monitoring, and data quality standards
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and pairing
• Evolve engineering best practices, including dbt conventions and CI/CD
• Evaluate new tools and platform capabilities to meet AI and enterprise data needs
• Drive measurable impact in platform reliability, data quality, and governance maturity
