Job summary

Tier4 Group seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join a mission-driven team focused on using data and analytics to improve real-world outcomes. This hands-on role involves building secure data pipelines and collaborating with architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders.

The position requires designing scalable ETL/ELT workflows across Azure and AWS, writing optimized SQL, and supporting deployment automation with Azure DevOps in a hybrid Dallas office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or related fields.
• Strong experience with Python, SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• ETL/ELT development and data movement processes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Move and transform large volumes of batch data securely and efficiently.
• Develop and support cloud-based data solutions across Azure and AWS environments.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database processes.
• Collaborate with architects and technical leadership on data integration initiatives.
• Implement CI/CD processes and deployment automation using Azure DevOps.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across enterprise data platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing operational support.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to best practices for data engineering.
