Job summary

CoStar Group in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for Apartments.com. You will design and implement data platforms, dimensional models, and scalable ETL pipelines to feed KPI dashboards and product insights.

You'll work across teams to enable data access, governance, and AI-assisted data workflows, applying Medallion architecture, Databricks, Snowflake, and AWS tools, while mentoring engineers and delivering on time and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college/university.
• 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Solid foundation in OO principles and best practices.
• Experience building data platforms and data-driven products at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee dimensional modeling, database design, and cloud data structures (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Develop data platform framework for secure data warehouses and data lakes.
• Build and optimize Spark jobs and data transformations in Databricks.
• Integrate AI/ML models into data pipelines using Databricks ML and AWS ML.
• Mentor engineers and analysts; lead end-to-end data projects.
