Job summary

RemoteFetch seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for the Denials AI workflow under the guidance of the Team Lead, Data Management. You will ensure data reliability, HIPAA compliance, and optimized performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, implement ETL/ELT pipelines with Dagster and DBT on AWS, model data in PostgreSQL, monitor pipelines, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in CS, data engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years building and operating production-grade data pipelines.
• Experience with Dagster and DBT or similar tools (Airflow, SSIS).
• Strong SQL skills on PostgreSQL and data modeling.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and PHI handling.
• Experience mentoring or leading small technical efforts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to refine data requirements for Denials AI solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Dagster, DBT, and AWS data services.
• Develop data models in PostgreSQL and write efficient SQL.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot incidents, and implement preventive measures.
• Enforce data quality and governance, including HIPAA compliance for PHI.
• Mentor junior data engineers and conduct code reviews.
• Automate deployment and monitoring using infrastructure-as-code and CloudWatch.
• Document data workflows, schemas, and runbooks for knowledge transfer.
