Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a senior Data Engineer to support a new IAM initiative. You will design and evolve low-latency GraphQL APIs and data pipelines that power developer workflows across the enterprise, with a focus on microservices on AWS and production monitoring.

The team is small, remote, EST-aligned, and open to conversion. Applicants must work on a W-2 basis with a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) matching and life insurance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering and backend development.
• Expertise in GraphQL API design and implementation.
• Strong PySpark/Scala/Spark experience and Snowflake usage.
• Hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, ECS, and DynamoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain low-latency GraphQL APIs used in developer runtime flows.
• Develop and enhance data pipelines with PySpark/ Spark, Snowflake, and AWS Glue.
• Implement microservices on AWS using Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB.
• Ingest, transform, and serve data for API responses with strong data modeling and quality practices.
• Set up monitoring, observability, and alerting for APIs, data jobs, and microservices.
• Collaborate with IAM stakeholders to support an agentic risk-identification initiative.
• Contribute to architecture, security, and performance reviews for cloud-native services.
• Work within EST hours in a fully remote environment and participate in a streamlined interview process.
