Job summary

Abridge is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our US-based Data Engineering team. You will build and optimize large-scale data infrastructure to support ML research and product decisions.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in data or backend engineering, strong Python/Java/Scala and SQL, and hands-on cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure) with modern data tooling. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and analytics to power reliable data services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data or Backend Engineering focused on data systems.
• Proficient in Python/Java/Scala and SQL.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (GCP/AWS/Azure) and data services.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data services, pipelines and storage for ML training data.
• Manage OLAP databases, ELTs and data tooling for analytics and product features.
• Collaborate with frontend/backend engineers, product managers and analysts.
• Optimize data infrastructure for throughput, latency, and reliability.
• Identify and fix data operation issues from monitors and reports.
• Design data integrations and data quality framework.
