Job summary

Abridge is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join the US-based Data Engineering team. You will build and optimize large-scale data infrastructure to drive business decisions and ML research.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in data systems, strong SQL and programming skills, and experience with cloud data services. You’ll work with engineers, PMs, and analysts to improve throughput, latency, and reliability across data platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend Engineering with a focus on data systems.
• Proficient in Python/Java/Scala and SQL.
• Experience with GCP/AWS/Azure and accompanying data services.
• Experience with ingesting, transforming, and managing both structured and unstructured data.
• Deep knowledge of modern data infrastructure best practices.
• Experience with distributed processing frameworks.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with deploying ML models at scale is a bonus.
• Experience building well-modeled, documented data products.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data services, pipelines and storage solutions for the feedback of unstructured application data for ML training and evaluation purposes.
• Build and manage OLAP databases, ELTs and general data tooling for analytics, business decisions and product features.
• Work closely with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.
• Optimize data infrastructure to enhance throughput, latency and reliability of the data system.
• Investigate and correct issues identified through data operations monitors, tools, and reports.
• Design data integrations and data quality framework.
