Job summary

LMI is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement data architectures and integrations across Army enterprise systems. You will build scalable pipelines, ontologies, and data models to support operational applications and AI-enabled workflows.

Ideal candidates have hands-on data engineering and architecture experience, proficiency in Python/SQL, and the ability to work with stakeholders and software engineers. Top Secret clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, software engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience designing and implementing production data pipelines, transformations, and integrations.
• Experience with complex data modeling across multiple data sources.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data architectures, pipelines, and integrations using Palantir Foundry and related platforms.
• Develop and refine ontologies representing operational entities, activities, and relationships across data sources.
• Create data models linking personnel, units, equipment, installations, and operations.
• Assess and improve existing data models and ontology implementations.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from Army/DoD systems.
• Establish data quality, lineage, governance, and access controls for reliable decisions.
• Develop ontology objects, relationships, and workflows to support AI-enabled capabilities.
• Collaborate with software engineers to enable natural-language querying and agent-enabled workflows.
• Provide technical guidance on data architecture and engineering best practices.
• Translate mission requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders.
