WP Engine seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering organization. You will lead the design of dimensional models, build robust pipelines, and collaborate with Finance, BI, and product teams to deliver trusted data assets.

You will apply best practices in data quality, governance, and scalable analytics on a global platform. You will work with dbt, SQL, Python/Go, and cloud data warehouse tools in a distributed team across time zones, contributing to AI-enabled data workflows

Competenze

• 5+ years of data engineering or analytics engineering experience.
• Strong production experience with dbt, SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with Python and Go for data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
• Hands-on with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with AI-assisted coding tools and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.

Mansioni

• Design, build, and evolve dbt models in UAM to deliver clean data assets.
• Write and optimize complex SQL for large datasets and validation.
• Develop end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines on a Kubernetes-based platform.
• Monitor pipelines with observability tools and implement durable fixes.
• Lead multi-sprint data initiatives and coordinate with Finance/BI.
• Ensure data lineage, metadata, and documentation are maintained.
• Mentor engineers on code reviews and best practices.
