Job summary

CFS is seeking a Data Engineer in East Lansing, MI to build and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. Strong SQL skills and enterprise data warehouse experience are required.

You will develop data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and semantic models to support analytics across teams, ensuring data quality and performance. This onsite role offers growth in a modern, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration across diverse systems.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory.
• Write advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for high-performance data operations.
• Apply best practices in data modeling for enterprise-scale data warehouses.
• Architect and manage data warehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse and OneLake.
• Ensure data consistency, reliability, and scalability across reporting and analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with developers to structure data for Power BI usage, including semantic modeling and partitioning.
• Work with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver clean, actionable datasets.
• Provide guidance on SQL optimization, data governance, and reporting standards.
