Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design data pipelines powering analytics and data science workloads. You will model the Core Data Domain and build scalable ETL/ELT processes with cloud deployment across Azure, AWS, or GCP.

You will collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data availability, quality, and security while documenting architectures and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and ability to develop complex queries.
• Experience with Python for ETL and data pipelines.
• Experience deploying data pipelines in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance best practices in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Model and optimize data schemas to support analytics and ML workloads.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources.
• Optimize performance with partitioning, clustering and tuning.
• Establish data quality standards and governance policies.
• Collaborate with data scientists/analysts to integrate data with BI and ML models.
• Create comprehensive documentation for pipelines and share best practices.
