Job summary

YES Communities is hiring a Senior Data Engineer in Denver, CO to own and evolve the enterprise data platform powering reporting, analytics, planning, and automation. You will design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models that transform operational data into trusted data used company-wide.

You'll influence architecture decisions, modernize core data infrastructure, and partner with BI, FP&A, IT, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions supporting executives and investors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
• Advanced SQL skills for large relational datasets
• Experience building and orchestrating pipelines with Azure Data Factory/SSIS
• Experience developing data models, views, and semantic layers for enterprise reporting
• Proficiency with API-based integrations and data governance practices
• Strong communication and ability to translate requirements to technical solutions

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data into the enterprise data warehouse
• Develop enterprise data models and semantic layers for reporting and analytics
• Engineer API integrations with third-party platforms and vendor systems
• Monitor pipeline health and data quality with automated validation and alerts
• Tune query and pipeline performance; recommend architectural improvements
• Champion engineering best practices and contribute to data governance
• Collaborate with BI, FP&A, IT, and stakeholders to translate business needs
• Deliver accurate, timely data for operational, financial, and investor reporting
• Evaluate and adopt modern data engineering technologies to improve reliability
