Job summary

UFG Insurance is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to drive analytics solutions across the enterprise. You will work with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Actuaries, and other teams to standardize data, ensure data quality, and enable democratized insights.

You will build robust data pipelines, construct data warehouses, mentor peers, and evolve architecture by adopting new technologies. Strong SQL, ETL (SSIS), and BI tools like Tableau are key, with 7+ years of experience in data engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a data engineer or equivalent.
• Advanced SQL and relational databases experience.
• Experience with ETL tooling (SSIS) and large-scale data handling.
• P&C insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines.
• Provide ready-to-use data to analytics teams.
• Design, construct, install, test and maintain scalable data warehouses.
• Collaborate across the organization to meet project goals.
• Mentor newer Data Engineers and educate teams.
• Identify data requirements and opportunities for new data uses.
