Job summary

NinjaOne seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join our Emerging Products team and build the foundation of our modern data platform. You will design and scale lakehouse architectures, develop robust streaming and batch pipelines, and ensure data flows reliably to analysts and data scientists who depend on it.

This greenfield role uses Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, and Databricks, with cross-functional collaboration to shape how data powers our next generation of products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience building lakehouse architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with Trino or Starburst for distributed query execution.
• Experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Medallion-layer lakehouse architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Build and maintain scalable streaming and batch data pipelines using Kafka, Spark, and Airflow.
• Manage open table formats like Iceberg, Delta Lake, and Hudi and choose the right format.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to meet data requirements.
• Monitor data quality and pipeline reliability to ensure scalable performance.
