Job summary

Colas ISS, the information technology arm of Colas North America, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to build and own the Databricks platform for ERDW.Next. You will lead architecture, governance, and migration of data workloads to a Databricks lakehouse, collaborating with Power BI developers and business users across finance, construction, equipment, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 5+ years in data engineering
• Hands-on role designing and delivering enterprise data platforms
• Experience migrating legacy workloads to modern lakehouse
• Strong ownership of technical design and production delivery
• Collaborates with BI developers and business users across functions

Responsibilities

• Design and own the ERDW.Next lakehouse architecture and gold layer for Power BI
• Define platform roadmap and pattern-level decisions (batch vs. streaming)
• Build/optimize PySpark/Spark SQL pipelines and Delta Live Tables
• Migrate legacy workloads (SQL Server, SSIS, Synapse, ADF) with safe cutover
• Ensure CI/CD, monitoring, data quality, and reliable SLAs across environments
• Collaborate with offshore partners and data engineers for delivery
