Job summary

Recru, LLC. is seeking a Lead Data Engineer in Spring, TX with 8–10+ years of experience to drive Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.

You will design and optimize data pipelines, build scalable solutions for analytics and AI, and mentor engineers across the team. You will provide strategic and technical guidance to leadership, engage stakeholders, and contribute to data governance and platform evolution.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of Data Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, Spark, SQL, and Delta Lake
• Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and Lakehouse architectures
• Understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
• Experience supporting Power BI datasets and reporting solutions
• Proven ability to mentor team members and lead technical initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake
• Build scalable data solutions for enterprise analytics and AI
• Support Power BI reporting and analytics initiatives
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and Lakehouse architectures
• Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
• Mentor data engineers and foster best practices
• Provide strategic and technical guidance to leadership
• Engage stakeholders and communicate technical concepts
• Lead technical initiatives and drive platform evolution
• Ensure data quality and governance across the platform
