Job summary

Disney Experiences (DX) Tech & Digital is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Data Products & Platforms team. The role focuses on building scalable data warehousing and ELT solutions for content performance and engagement data using AWS and Snowflake.

You will design and grow data warehouses, develop ELT pipelines in cloud/hybrid environments, and leverage the DX stack (DBT, Airflow, AWS, Snowflake) to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience building large data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills, including creating performant datasets.
• Hands-on AWS experience for ingesting process data (Lambda, Kinesis, DMS, AppFlow, EventBridge).
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery as a major cloud data warehouse.
• Expert SQL/T-SQL and query tuning.
• Agile/Scrum experience and effective communication.
• Experience with Airflow for building and maintaining pipelines.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and data warehousing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and growth of Data Products and Data Warehouses focused on Content Performance and Content Engagement data.
• Design and develop scalable ELT pipelines in cloud, on-premise, hybrid environments.
• Use the DX stack (AWS, Snowflake, DBT, UC4/Airflow) to transform, store, and distribute data.
• Help architect data solutions using dimensional modeling within a medallion structure.
• Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Architects, and Data Engineers to deliver data solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation to support data quality and governance.
• Contribute to agile/scrum practices to improve team health and process.
