Job summary

Dermalogica seeks a senior, hands-on data engineer to strengthen our global data environment. You will own end-to-end data quality, tracing issues from source to reporting, across ERP, e-commerce, and cloud warehouses.

The role demands deep technical depth, forensic problem-solving, and the ability to operate independently in a partially documented landscape. Hybrid or remote with PT overlap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering in production environments.
• Strong technical depth and problem-solving in data systems.
• Experience with BigQuery or another modern cloud data warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and root-cause data discrepancies across sources.
• Trace data end-to-end to find where transformations go wrong.
• Own backlog of data quality issues from investigation to remediation.
• Audit SQL jobs, ETL processes, dependencies, and transformation logic.
• Identify and eliminate hardcoded business rules and data quality problems.
• Replace fragile manual data processes with governed pipelines.
• Build automated reconciliation and health checks.
• Document data lineage and ownership.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and vendors to resolve issues.
