Job summary

Gen is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the MoneyLion Data Platform & Martech Engineering team. You will design, build, and scale data foundations powering analytics, engagement, and AI initiatives across the organization.

The role requires leadership in data modeling, cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), and governance, working with Product, Analytics, and Engineering to deliver trusted data products. This position emphasizes AI-assisted development and scalable pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
• 5+ years designing and operating production data platforms.
• Expertise in dimensional data modeling and Kimball methodologies.
• Experience with fintech, adtech, or regulated industries preferred.
• Strong SQL and Python/Scala/Java coding skills.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and data activation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable data platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build semantic layer architectures and dimensional models.
• Partner with Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Engineering to translate needs.
• Implement data governance, lineage, and quality checks.
• Support AI-powered data products and self-serve data access.
• Mentor teammates and lead architectural discussions.
