Job summary

SMX and cBEYONData seek a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver data-driven solutions for a Federal customer. You will build production data pipelines and models using Palantir Foundry or Databricks, combining technical leadership with hands-on implementation.

This role requires DoD context familiarity, mentoring junior developers, and collaboration with business stakeholders. Onsite in Crystal City two days/week, with strong Python/PySpark skills and DevOps experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10 years of related work experience.
• 5+ years in Python and PySpark.
• Hands-on data pipelines, models, and analytics with Palantir Foundry or Databricks.
• Experience leading junior developers on multiple projects.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• DoD/Federal project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of junior developers.
• Design and build data solutions using Palantir Foundry, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize production data pipelines and models.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and DoD representatives.
