Job summary

The Leading Hotels of the World is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data team to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines for reporting, analytics, AI, machine learning, and operations.

You will help establish a trusted data foundation, ensure data quality, and promote DataOps practices while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. This is a full-time hybrid role based in New York City with 3 remote days and 2 in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Deep experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks, including Spark, Airflow, and dbt.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines, data models, and data products.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Develop and maintain scalable data architectures, including data lakes and data warehouses.
• Build reliable, reusable data products and data models that support reporting, analytics, AI, machine learning, and business operations.
• Optimize performance across data platforms and pipelines.
