Job summary

The Leading Hotels of the World is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in New York City to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure for analytics, AI, and ML use cases. This role partners with Business Solutions, BI, and Customer Insights to enable data-driven decisions and enforce DataOps best practices.

Hybrid role with remote work 3 days/week and in-office 2 days/week (Weds/Thu) in NYC. 7+ years of experience and strong SQL/Python required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of data engineering experience.
• Deep experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
• Hands-on ETL/ELT with Airflow, dbt, Spark.
• Advanced SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems.
• Data governance and security best practices.
• Strong cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Develop and maintain scalable data architectures, including data lakes and data warehouses.
• Model data to support analytics, reporting, and advanced use cases.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and security standards are met.
• Optimize performance across data platforms and pipelines.
• Partner closely with BI & Customer Insights teams to deliver timely, high-quality data.
• Mentor engineers and promote DataOps best practices.
