Realtor.com is seeking a Sr Data Engineer to join the Marketing Technologies team in Austin. You will design and scale data pipelines powering personalized customer engagements across email, push, and SMS for millions of users.

You’ll collaborate with data engineers, data science, and CRM operations to align data flow, integrate with Braze, Cordial, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and other platforms, and mentor junior engineers while improving reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, preferably in MarTech or CRM systems
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, or similar data platforms
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudWatch), or other event-driven systems
• Familiarity with marketing tools such as Braze, Cordial, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Hightouch
• Understanding of data modeling (dimensional, normalized) and real-time event processing
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator who thrives in cross-functional environments

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines and APIs that support CRM personalization and targeting
• Build integrations between internal data platforms and external marketing systems (Braze, Cordial, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.)
• Create data models for segmentation, audience activation, and campaign measurement
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Science, and CRM Operations to align architecture and data flow
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure reliability of CRM pipelines
• Improve automation, reduce manual workflows, and enhance campaign delivery performance
• Maintain clear documentation for data flows, processes, and systems
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture discussions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices
