Job summary

SOLTECH is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of modernizing and evolving their data pipeline architecture. The role focuses on migrating legacy ETL workloads from Redshift stored procedures and SSIS packages into scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS Glue and S3, in a cross-functional engineering environment.

You will design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize Redshift performance, and collaborate with analytics and product teams to support AI/ML initiatives and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Strong expertise with AWS Glue (PySpark/Python), S3, and Redshift.
• Experience migrating ETL workloads from legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, S3, and related AWS services.
• Architect data transformation workflows that are scalable, testable, version-controlled, and observable.
• Optimize and maintain Redshift data warehouse performance, including query tuning and cost management.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to build data models for reporting, AI/ML initiatives and customer-facing apps.
• Establish and promote best practices, standards, and reusable patterns for data pipeline development.
• Support production data systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
