Job summary

Versant is looking for a Senior Data Engineer focusing on AWS Data Platform tools like Redshift and Glue. This role involves designing data pipelines and warehouse architecture while ensuring effective collaboration with business users and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has significant experience (7+ years) in data warehousing and OLAP, with a strong command of SQL and Python. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from your home location.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data warehousing / OLAP experience.
• 7+ years of multidimensional database architecture and design experience.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 3+ years of Python experience.
• 2+ years of Redshift experience.
• 2+ years of NoSQL experience.
• Experience with AWS Glue and Airflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines, marts, and schemas.
• Database architecture and design of data warehouses.
• Monitor data warehouse and data marts.
• Mentor other Data Engineers.
• Communicate with business users to resolve issues.
