Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Principal Data Engineer in Durham, NC to design and develop complex ETL and analytics solutions. You will maintain the enterprise data warehouse (Snowflake, PostgreSQL) and leverage cloud services (AWS) to deliver high-performance, scalable data environments.

Responsibilities include building data integration workflows, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with business partners to translate requirements into technical designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines for ETL, real-time and batch processing in financial services environments.
• Proficient in Python, SQL/PLSQL, and data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Bitbucket/GitHub).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and delivering real-time analytics.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops complex data integration solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Implements scalable data pipelines and transformation logic for reporting and analytics.
• Maintains enterprise data warehouse with Snowflake and PostgreSQL; works with AWS services.
• Develops and supports CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
