Fidelity Investments Inc. is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to design and build scalable ETL data pipelines and analytics solutions for enterprise data environments.
You will work with Informatica, SnapLogic, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, AWS, and CI/CD tools to deliver high-performance data platforms. The role emphasizes mentorship, architecture discussions, and collaboration with business partners to translate requirements into robust data engineering solutions.

Position Description :
Designs and develops Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) reporting and analytics solutions using ETL tools (Informatica and Snaplogic). Develops innovative solutions to support scalable, secure, and high-performance data environments. Maintains enterprise data warehouse using RMDS (Snowflake and PostgreSQL), Cloud platforms and services (AWS – IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS), and data manipulation languages and frameworks (Java, Python, and Jason). Develops sophisticated Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline using Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, and Docker. Writes SQL and stored procedures on relational databases. Performs debugging, analyzing and production support application development based on Jira stories in an Agile environment.

Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Data Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, building and supporting scalable data pipelines for large scale ETL, real-time, batch systems and reporting platforms in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Data Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, building and supporting scalable data pipelines for large scale ETL, real-time, batch systems and reporting platforms in a financial services environment.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
