Job summary

Goodwin Procter seeks an experienced senior data engineer to manage and improve our data platforms, governance standards, and cloud-based solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven initiatives and ensure scalable, secure data processing across the firm.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT expertise, plus experience with APIs and modern cloud data platforms. Hybrid or on-site collaboration within the Global Operations GO Team is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years in senior data engineering or database architecture.
• Industry certifications in databases or cloud platforms are a plus.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and Snowflake.
• Advanced SQL development and modelling skills.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines for data warehouses.
• Proficient in Python for data engineering.
• Experience with APIs and data formats like JSON/XML.
• Experience using Git and Agile practices.
