Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning with Hive SQL.
• Experience with Scala and Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GCS and BigQuery.
• Experience building ETL pipelines using modern data engineering tools.
• Experience with data modeling for analytics and reporting.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
• Develop and maintain data models, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions.
• Design and optimize Spark and Hive SQL jobs for large-scale big data processing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to support reporting and AI initiatives.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Implement data quality, governance, security, and monitoring frameworks.
• Optimize data processing performance and cost.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple enterprise systems.
• Support cloud-based data platforms and analytics architectures on GCP.
