Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to mature the data platform and support data analytics initiatives. This role reports to the head of data engineering and collaborates with IT, stakeholders and vendors to deliver robust data solutions.

Responsibilities include building data pipelines, managing data warehousing concepts, and applying cloud-based data services. Minimum 3–5 years of experience, bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills are required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Proficient with data pipelines using Python or Talend and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with AWS services and data analytics.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating analytics workloads.
• Experience with IaC solutions like Terraform and CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support implemented applications.
• Work in all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Participate in daily scrums and support delivery timelines.
• Solve problems independently with limited supervision.
• Deliver high quality software and provide coaching to peers and juniors.
• Drive team activities in absence of leadership for short periods.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements and advocate for implementation.
• Influence high level architecture decisions.
