Job summary

Publicis Sapient in Atlanta seeks a Senior Associate Data Engineer to lead and deliver technical solutions for large-scale digital transformation projects. You will design data platforms, build batch and streaming pipelines, and apply modern cloud technologies to unlock business value.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support AI-enabled use cases with robust data foundations, retrieval patterns, and scalable services using Python, Databricks,

Qualifications

Experience building end-to-end data pipelines and production-grade platforms.
Hands-on with at least one leading public cloud data platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Databricks experience including notebooks, jobs, Delta Lake or lakehouse patterns.
Strong Python proficiency for data engineering, automation, or AI workflows.
Experience with columnar databases (BigQuery/Redshift/Vertica) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB/Bigtable/Cosmos DB).
Experience implementing streaming and batch data pipelines (Glue ETL, Dataflow, Spark, etc.).
Knowledge of data modeling, warehouse design, and lakehouse/data mesh patterns.
Familiarity with MLOps, deployment support, monitoring, and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

Lead, design, and deliver large-scale data systems and modernization initiatives.
Build and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines across cloud platforms.
Design high-quality data foundations and context engineering for AI-enabled services.
Mentor and grow junior team members while contributing hands-on to delivery.
Automate data platform operations, telemetry, and observability for post-production systems.
Provide project estimates and feasibility assessments for data solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate client requirements into designs.
