Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Cloud AI Data Engineering team in the United States. You will design and operate scalable data pipelines, support AI-driven analytics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data infrastructure.

The role emphasizes building high-performance storage, ensuring data quality, and optimizing pipelines for efficiency, cost, and compliance. This position is based in Sunnyvale, CA or Kirkland, WA with a focus on mid-level experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for Gemini Enterprise.
• Develop high-performance data warehousing and storage for AI and analytics.
• Implement data quality monitoring, alerting, and governance for privacy and security.
• Collaborate with SWEs, PMs, and Data Scientists to deliver robust infra for features.
• Optimize pipelines for cost, latency, and resource usage; apply best practices.
