Job summary

Google is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Data Engineering, Cloud AI to design and optimize scalable data pipelines powering Gemini Enterprise and AI capabilities. You will collaborate with SWEs, PMs, and Data Scientists to deliver robust infrastructure and real-time metrics from massive datasets.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and deep expertise in distributed systems, with opportunities to influence product features and AI capabilities across Cloud AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest and transform enterprise data.
• Develop high-performance data warehousing and storage systems optimized for AI models and analytics.
• Implement data quality monitoring, alerting, and governance for integrity and privacy.
• Partner with SWEs, PMs, and Data Scientists to deliver robust infrastructure for new features.
• Optimize pipelines for cost, latency, and resource usage while promoting best practices.
