Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior data engineer to design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple source systems into a governed data platform. You will develop Bronze/Silver/Gold models, lead the data platform build-out for a Google Cloud migration, and mentor SQL developers while enforcing data governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years of data engineering, ETL development, or database development.
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases; NoSQL knowledge is a plus.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent.
• Cloud data platform experience (Google Cloud strongly preferred).
• Data modeling concepts including Bronze/Silver/Gold architecture.
• Programming/scripting (Python or similar) for automation is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Eclipse/Epicor is a plus.
• Mentoring and code-review guidance for SQL developers.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines from Eclipse/Epicor, Salesforce, Workday, and other sources.
• Develop Bronze/Silver/Gold data models and schemas; ensure governed, auditable processes.
• Lead technical build-out of the data platform during Google Cloud migration.
• Mentor SQL developers and set standards for SQL development and pipeline design.
• Partner with DBAs, BI developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into designs.
• Document data flows, transformations, and architecture; enforce data access controls.
• Monitor pipeline health and resolve data integrity issues; reduce shadow data paths.
